What it is
Claude is Anthropic's assistant, widely used in business settings. With web search enabled it looks up current information, reads pages and answers with linked sources. Claude tends to be cautious: it hedges where sources disagree and says when it cannot verify something.

Claude uses web search when a question needs it, fetching pages live via Claude-User and indexing via Claude-SearchBot. ClaudeBot is the separate training crawler. Claude weights clearly attributed, consistent facts and is quick to flag contradictions between sources.
Answers include source links. Because Claude is conservative, inconsistent information about a business (different phone numbers, hours or prices across the web) often leads to the business being described vaguely or omitted.
